TaikoPeace "Peace Wands" (SOLD OUT FOR NOW)

from $40.00
sold out

Exclusively crafted in Japan for TaikoPeace by Miyamoto Unosuke Shoten, a company that has embodied and nurtured traditional Japanese performing arts for over 150 years. PJ (Founder of TaikoPeace) chose wood from the Japanese kashi (oak) tree for its resilience, strength, and durability; all traits that echo the transformative power of taiko drumming.

With its tapered design, they can be played on either side. The narrow end evokes a more tempered sound while the wider end creates a more rounder, bolder sound. They are PJ’s favorite ‘go-to’ bachi because of the ease in which their weight naturally cradles in her hand for optimum leverage, power, and fluidity. Please treat them with deep respect, a grateful heart, and much care as you would any bachi.

It is PJ’s fervent hope that every strike of these magical “peace wands” unite with your taiko drum to vibrate only sounds of joy, of hope, of love, and of peace. Let them teach you what beautiful drum beats are calling to be heard. May you unlock the limitless creative possibilities inside of YOU and know that together we are co-creating a more peaceful world.

Bachi size: 39cm (≈15.35 inches) in length with the ends tapering from 18-24mm (.7-.94 inches in diameter) from the narrow end to the wide end.

Available only on the TaikoPeace website. Shipping to US destinations only. Quantities are limited. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer returns, exchanges, or refunds. If you are interested in a volume order, please send a note to hello[at]taikopeace.love for future consideration.

“The Peace Wands hold the energy and intention of TaikoPeace and the universal prayer ‘May Peace Prevail On Earth’. I feel that every pair of bachi is an extension of each individual player’s vessel and every pair of bachi tells a unique story. Playing with a conscious connection to peace, you will naturally direct healing energy into the world: ‘Where intention goes, energy flows’.”
